Answers To Questions
1. What is Fiber, and why is it important?
Basically, the term fiber refers to carbohydrates that can’t be digested. Fiber
is present in all plants that are eaten for food, including fruits, vegetables,
grains, and legumes. Fiber assists in digestion, helps you feel full, and can
reduce your risk of heart disease, high cholesterol, diabetes, diverticular
disease, obesity, and constipation.

2.
I’ve heard there is both soluble and insoluble fiber, which one do I need?
Both. The FDA recommends a balanced blend of both soluble and insoluble for a
healthy diet. FiberStir® provides both; insoluble for intestinal health, and
soluble for reducing your risk of chronic diseases.

3.
How much Fiber do I need daily?
The U.S. Recommended Daily Allowance is 25 grams for a 2,000 calorie diet and 30
grams for a 2,500 calorie diet. The National Academy of Sciences has set
Adequate Intake (AI) levels for total fiber at 38 and 25 grams/day, respectively,
for men and women 50 years and younger.

4.

FiberStir® delivers a balanced blend of insoluble and soluble fiber, giving your
body what it needs without the side effects of a “soluble-only” fiber
supplement.

6.
How can I be sure my fiber supplement has insoluble fiber?
There are many “soluble-only” fiber supplements that deliver no insoluble
fiber. Insoluble fiber will turn a glass of water cloudy…you can actually see
it! If a fiber supplement advertises that it’s “clear-mixing” or “dissolves
completely in beverages” it doesn’t have the all important insoluble fiber!

How should I use FiberStir®?
FiberStir® has been specially formulated to dissolve instantly as it’s stirred
into any of the foods you prepare. Stir in FiberStir® with your breakfast cereal and yogurt,
add it to pancake or muffin batter, scrambled eggs, even peanut butter for your
morning toast…and that’s just breakfast! All day long FiberStir® can enhance the
foods you love. Mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, meatloaf, soups and pasta
sauces…the possibilities are limitless!

8.
What is a recommended serving of FiberStir®?
One tablespoon of FiberStir® provides 6 grams of fiber! Simply add a tablespoon of FiberStir®
for each “serving” that you’re preparing. For example, a prepared boxed dinner
might make 4 servings. 4 tablespoons of FiberStir® added to that prepared meal
makes each serving
an “excellent source” of fiber!

9.
Can I get too much Fiber?
We recommend starting slow with FiberStir® to let your body adjust.
Typically, a couple of days of gradual increases should easily get you to the
Recommended Daily Allowance.

10.
I’m on a diet, can I still use FiberStir®?
Absolutely! Because FiberStir® is virtually all fiber; it has very low net carbs,
and low calories. More importantly, FiberStir® helps you feel full faster so you
eat less and feel full longer. FiberStir® is an excellent part of any diet
plan.

11.
Is it possible to get all the fiber I need from the foods I eat?
Yes. The problem is that foods high in fiber may or may not be your or your
family’s favorites. It’s difficult to guess fiber contents of the foods you
regularly eat, and they may be void of fiber all together. FiberStir® lets you
eat the foods you love but still get the fiber you need!

12.
If I add FiberStir® to the foods I’m preparing, can I tell that it’s in
there?
No. FiberStir® is designed to dissolve quickly and completely. It won’t change
the color, flavor, or texture of the foods you add it to. FiberStir® added to a
lightly colored beverage will make it appear cloudy due to the insoluble fiber.

13.
Does FiberStir® have side effects?
We recommend that you slowly build your consumption of FiberStir® over a short
period of time so that your body can adjust to getting the right level of fiber.
FiberStir® promotes regularity, and will give you a sense of “fullness”.

14.
Do my kids need fiber?
Yes! Everyone needs fiber as part of a healthy diet. Being somewhat picky
eaters, kids often don't get the right amount of fiber. FiberStir®, added
to their favorite foods like macaroni and cheese, pudding, applesauce, or
virtually anything else they love, can guarantee they meet their daily
requirements.

I’ve heard that some fiber supplements create discomfort and gas. How about
FiberStir®?
FiberStir® was specifically designed to avoid the negative side effects of a
“soluble-only” fiber supplement. Not only do you need both soluble and insoluble
fiber as part of a healthy diet, but the combination also reduces uncomfortable
side effects.
